The Digital Arts Experience hosted an event in their 8,000 square ft. facility on September 12th, 2012 that focused on the great organizational tool, Evernote.  Rob Kissner headlined the event by leading the group with his expert knowledge and presentation skills. Special guest Stacy Geisinger of spoke beforehand on the importance of staying up to date with the latest digital and social media outlets. She stressed that it is easy to learn by simply ‘googling’ a question, watching a video tutorial on YouTube, or tinkering around.  You can’t always depend on asking your kids, and you shouldn’t be intimidated to learn something new with technology.  It is constantly changing, and even tech savvy people learn new things all the time.

Rob Kissner highlights the features of Evernote

Rob went through all of the basic features of Evernote – including: creating notebooks, adding notes to notebooks, text formatting notes, encrypting text for security, syncing between all of your devices, dragging and dropping items into notes, using the web clipper, and more. After, he highlighted the mobile app version of Evernote and its user interface. To finish, he conducted a brief overview of 3rd party applications that are all compatible with Evernote – such as GeniusScan: an application that records images of business cards, receipts, photos, and has the ability to automatically sync it into Evernote.

The DAE is a strong advocate for use of Evernote and frequently hosts presentations and workshops on the application.  To sign up for a class on Evernote, give us a call at 914-644-8100 or e-mail to express your interest.
